In 2024, a new project was launched in which MBO colleges Graafschap College collaborated with STO Arnhem and VRinSCHOOL. To address the challenges of the energy transition and increase the appeal of technical professions, the schools co-created new VR courses.
During the development phase, VRinSCHOOL created 2 courses — instalment of eletric installations and solar panels and also contributed 50% of the investment to ensure commitment from all parties involved. Throughout the process, teachers shared their expertise, and VRinSCHOOL developed a detailed script and designed an easy-to-use VR experience. Both courses are now ready to use, and plans are underway to create a new course on instalment of charging stations.
Tom Aerts is the founder of VRinSCHOOL, supporting over 100 schools (VO and MBO) in successfully integrating Virtual Reality into education. Driven by a passion for learning by doing, he co-creates with his development team at the High Tech Campus in Eindhoven, hands-on VR experiences that make education more engaging and accessible.
