  Practice have developed best‑practice guidelines for facility and instr

 ch as PIDINST and the work of the FAIR Facilities and Instruments Network.
  This session will also provide real-world use cases to support effective 
 PID adoption from organisations implementing these approaches.

DESCRIPTION:PIDs connect everything together\, which requires significant c
 ollaboration across all research sectors and stakeholders. Ultimately\, lo
 cal resources and policies are required for a collaborative response to PI
 Ds\, which typically takes place at the regional or national levels - even
  though PIDs are essentially international endeavors. Without these nation
 al approaches\, PIDs remain difficult to implement and scattershot in thei
 r adoption. As countries continue to develop and implement National PID St
 rategies at varying speeds and with varying levels of sophistication and c
 ommunity buy-in\, this session offers a timely opportunity to reassess the
  global landscape and reflect on collective progress. There are many drive
 rs of PID adoption and implementation globally - from the integration of P
 IDs into funder systems to the availability of resources in a given langua
 ge\, as just a couple of endless possible examples. Each national strategy
  approaches drivers differently\, depending on their context and resources
