DESCRIPTION:If you are part of an emerging NREN or research community strug
gling with low visibility\, limited infrastructure\, and fragmented resear
ch outputs\, this session will show you how to move from isolation to glob
al integration using persistent identifiers (PIDs).\nIn many emerging Nati
onal Research and Education Networks (NRENs)\, research outputs exist but
lack persistent identifiers\, interoperability\, and structured integratio
n into global infrastructures. Without DOIs\, ORCID adoption\, institution
al identifiers\, and connected repositories\, visibility\, citation tracki
ng\, and impact measurement remain limited.\nThis session demonstrates how
you can build a sustainable PID culture within an emerging NREN\, even in
environments with constrained resources and evolving digital policies. Yo
u will explore practical strategies for phased PID adoption\, governance a
lignment\, and community engagement that support long-term sustainability.
\nYou will leave with actionable insights to strengthen research visibilit
y\, enhance institutional participation\, and position your NREN as an act
ive contributor to the global PID ecosystem.
