Must adopting global standards mean sacrificing local identity? This session deconstructs the myth of the "one-size-fits-all" approach to Persistent Identifiers (PIDs). Through real-world case studies, we will demonstrate how integrating ORCID with national and specialist ID systems reduces administrative burden, eliminates "identifier fatigue" for researchers, and unlocks deeper collaborative insights.
