Get to know the Digital Ccompetnece Centre for Practice Oriented Research's e-learning 'Getting Started with PIDs'! In this session:
you will get to know the interactive content of the e-learning,
gather ideas on how to implement the e-learning within your own institution,
at the same time, you will boost your knowledge of PIDs,
and contribute ideas on how to make the e-learning even better.
As a data steward/information specialist, you work with Persistent Identifiers yourself while simultaneously advising researchers on their proper use. Knowledge of PIDs and the associated systems and processes is indispensable in this regard. What PIDs are there? How are they assigned? And how are they deployed? What are the best practices and the best advice you can give?
A number of data stewards from DCC-PO, the national knowledge center for research support in practice-oriented research, are developing the e-learning 'Getting Started with PIDs'. The e-learning answers the questions above. More than twenty PIDs are covered. Additional tips and best practices are provided for the Persistent Identifiers DOI, ORCID, ROR, RAiD, and GrantID. These are the PIDs that are important for the national open-access platform for practice-oriented research in the Netherlands: Publinova. In the session 'Get to know the e-learning 'Getting started with PIDs'':
