DESCRIPTION:In 2023 [eLife](https://elifesciences.org/) launched a ‘Publi
 sh\, Review\, Curate’ (PRC) model of publishing which emphasised the pub
 lication of preprints\, preprint review\, and ‘post-publication’ curat
 ion. In this session you will discover how PIDs can create a public record
  connecting the revisions of a paper with public peer reviews\, metadata (
 e.g. funding)\, and related research outputs (data and code). You’ll exp
 lore the practical considerations when registering metadata for ‘new’ 
 types of research output that don’t neatly map to existing content-based
  schemas in scholarly infrastructure\, and hear how we navigated the tensi
 on between best practice and author requirements.\n\nAfter this session\, 
 you will understand:\n- How to architect a PID strategy that transparently
  links preprints\, article versions\, peer reviews\, data and software.\n-
  The challenges that accompany mapping new or alternative models of publis
 hing to the existing scholarly infrastructure.
