WUR has built an on-premise SOC infrastructure based on open source technology in addition to SURFsoc. In this session, you’ll discover how this approach can help you build a cost-effective, scalable solution - especially relevant in the current geopolitical situation.
You’ll get a clear view of how the SOC infrastructure is set up, consisting of a log platform to distribute and enrich logs, SIEM, a detection engine based on Sigma, an alert enrichment engine and a Security Incident Response Platform (SIRP).
WUR has collaborated on this with several other universities like Leiden, Delft and UvA. We'll present what we have, what works and what doesn't. You'll leave the session with concrete insights and a realistic view of the pitfalls.
