In the past two years, many instructors in higher education have struggled with how to assess students' learning progress accurately in a world where GenAI and other large language models can make this more challenging. Collaborative tools, including Google Docs, Slides, and Forms can be leveraged in some “out of the box” ways to assist with this.
In this presentation, Tracy Poelzer, Education Specialist and Trainer from the University of Groningen will share some examples used with instructors at the RUG to help rethink assessment, especially formatively, in ways that deepen learning and help.
