How can you use AI smartly when creating videos and other learning resources? In this session, you will discover how AI tools can help you create multimedia content for education faster, smarter and more creatively.
You will learn how to get started right away with simple prompts and tools such as ChatGPT, Sora, Pictory and Canva – even if you don't have a technical background.
Practical examples will give you insight into how AI is used for script development, voice-overs, image editing and even avatars. But we go beyond just tools: what does AI mean for your role as a teacher, educational support worker or instructional designer?
In 45 minutes, you will develop an idea, generate a script/storyboard and create a real video with AI. This process will make you aware of the possibilities and allow you to reflect on the challenges.
Be inspired, think critically and experience how AI not only saves time, but also creates space for quality and creativity.
Are you a teacher or educational support staff member? Would you like to discover what AI can do for educational content, but do you have little opportunity to experiment with it in practice? Or are you involved in policy-making and wondering how AI can contribute to the practice of educational support? Then this session is for you.
- You will learn how AI tools can be used to create videos, podcasts, interactive games or animations.
- You will experience first-hand how AI tools such as ChatGPT, EduGen AI, Canva Magic Write or Pictory can help you develop scripts, storyboards or visual material.
- You will learn from concrete examples created during this workshop.
During the session, we will work in groups on a short AI production, choosing from cases such as: ‘What is critical thinking?’ or ‘How do you give good peer feedback?’. During the creation process, questions will arise such as: what is going well, what are you encountering and what ethical or practical questions does this raise?
You will go home with:
- insight into the current possibilities and limitations of AI tools in AV production;
- experience with at least one AI tool that you can immediately apply in your work;
- new ideas about the future of your role and work process in an AI-supported educational landscape.
Whether you work as a teacher, content creator, instructional designer or educationalist, this session offers inspiration, practical tools and food for thought.
