Finland has a reputation for well developed education. So what do the Finns do to make the best of digitisation? In this session you will learn about the creation of the nationwide Digivisio platform, the first service (Opin.fi) and future possibilities.
In 2020 the Digivisio 2030 programme was launched in Finland by all 38 higher education institutions in the country. The goal of the program is to create a national digital service platform that enables the compatibility of digital services between higher education institutions (HEI’s), offers the learner a ‘my data’ service, and integrates the accumulation of data to support the learner's learning path. Furthermore, it aims to enhance the compatibility of actors' information management systems and lowers the threshold for utilising national solutions.
The session will also present the first national service that Digivisio has developed, Opin.fi, which brings together the open learning opportunities of Finnish HEI’s. The platform can serve as a basis for the creation of many other services to support the student or the HEI. In the future, if the HEI’s agree, it may even support a much wider ecosystem of actors, who can build new services related to education, professional development or the job market.
