Toetsparty & Co is an interactive, game-based workshop on alternative assessment, in which teachers are introduced to TestEUR. Teachers and educational support staff from vocational education (mbo), higher professional education (hbo) and university education (wo) can discover how they can use assessment not only as a means of evaluation, but also as a powerful tool for learning and educational innovation. The workshop ties in with the tracks ‘the art of knowledge sharing’ and ‘tools for good education’.
At the heart of the workshop is TestEUR (see https://eur.nl/testeur), an accessible platform that inspires and supports teachers and education professionals in designing high-quality assessment and continuously innovating it. Whether you’re working on a new exam, a practical test or an innovative form of assessment, on TestEUR you’ll find a wide and growing range of assessment formats that will inspire you and are directly applicable in higher education. With practical examples, background information and ready-to-use tools, we support you in designing high-quality and targeted assessments.
Using a variation on ‘Party & Co’, participants will be introduced to a variety of assessment formats available on TestEUR, with participants taking on the challenge in groups, both working with and competing against one another.
The workshop combines interaction with in-depth exploration of the subject matter. By actively engaging with assessment formats, participants will discover new possibilities for their own teaching practice in an accessible way. TestEUR serves as a source of inspiration and a starting point for discussions about the future of assessment in higher education.
It will be a dynamic session full of practical ideas for bringing alternative forms of assessment closer to participants’ own practice. Through the combination of games, discussion and in-depth explanation, the session is both accessible and thought-provoking.

Ik ben Esther Schut, onderwijskundige bij RISBO. Mijn werk richt zich op docentprofessionalisering, activerend onderwijs en impactevaluatie. Ik ontwikkel en verzorg trainingen voor docenten in het hoger onderwijs en ben coördinator van de Basiskwalificatie Uitvoering (BKU).
Daarnaast ben ik betrokken bij TeachEUR en TestEUR, platforms van de Community for Learning & Innovation (CLI) die docenten ondersteunen bij het maken van onderbouwde keuzes voor activerende werkvormen en toetsvormen. Ik haal energie uit het verbinden van onderwijskundige inzichten met de praktijk en het zichtbaar maken van wat werkt in onderwijs.
Ik ben onderwijsadviseur met ervaring in het primair, voortgezet en hoger onderwijs. Ik hou me het liefst bezig met het verbinden van activerend didactiek, generatieve AI, visuele ondersteuning bij leren en effectieve leerprocessen. Daarnaast geef ik interactieve en energieke workshops waarin deelnemers zelf aan de slag gaan en samen leren.
