What happens when smart glasses tell you what to say during a job interview? Or when students receive real-time support and suggestions through AI-powered smartglasses during exams?

In this interactive workshop, you will step into a series of future scenarios where smart glasses have become a normal part of everyday life. You will experience and test prototypes developed as part of the Corrupted Visions project, a collaboration between SURF and the Dark Tech Studio at the Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences. The scenarios for the smart glasses were intentionally designed around applications that challenge our assumptions about privacy, autonomy, fairness, and human interaction.

Working in small groups, you will role-play realistic scenarios and experience first-hand what it feels like when technology observes, analyses, advises, or even influences your behaviour. Throughout the workshop, you will alternate between different roles, including user, observer, and discussion partner. This allows you to explore not only what these technologies might be capable of, but also the questions they raise for education and society.

By the end of the session, you will:

• have experienced how future smart glasses could reshape learning, assessment, and professional interactions
• recognise opportunities, risks, and dilemmas that emerge when these technologies become widely available
• gain inspiration for conversations about emerging technologies within your own institution.
