Is your institution's ambition to embed mandatory AI literacy in all program curricula?
At Tilburg University, virtually all study programs contain AI literacy in the 2026/27 academic year, often paired with a mandatory test. In this session, you get an honest look at how this was achieved, what did not work, and which choices proved decisive. Specifically:
- Why we chose the AI-GO! framework and how we adapted it.
- The pedagogical principles behind our AI literacy products
- The management side of the project
This session is aimed primarily at educational innovators, education support teams, program directors, and policymakers in secondary vocational education, universities of applied sciences, and research universities who are working on, or about to start working on, an institution-wide AI literacy approach. You do not need expertise in AI itself; some experience with curriculum change is helpful.
After a twenty-minute presentation, ten minutes are reserved for questions, shared experiences, and discussion. You will leave with concrete guidance as well as links to all resources that will be open at the time of the presentation.

Nikos Basbas is coördinator bij het Center for Teaching and Learning van Tilburg University. Hij leidt daar het werk van de universiteit rond AI-geletterdheid voor studenten en medewerkers, en werkt aan de doorontwikkeling van het center zelf: van Scholarship of Teaching and Learning tot class shadowing, waarbij beginnende docenten meelopen met ervaren collega's.
