Increasing the availability of data for research in healthcare.
The objective of HERACLES is to perform medical analysis based on multiple sources but leaving the data at the source and without any traceability to individual patients. The main research problem is an organizational challenge to lower the barrier for using medical data that is stored on different locations by different data stewards who are bounded by legal aspects mostly regarding privacy.
