Julian Rill
Julian is a Data Protection & Privacy Technologist within the SURF Vendor Compliance team and ensures that the digital tools used by Dutch educational and research institutions meet strict privacy and security standards. He focuses on aligning legal requirements with technical architecture and improving Privacy by Design in software systems.

SURF Vendor Compliance hanteert een set security- en privacymaatregelen richting vendoren, met eisen rond onder andere read access logging, sideloading van apps, logging/meldplicht bij masquerading en ondersteuning van gecentraliseerde RBAC. Deze maatregelen zijn nu vooral vanuit SURF Vendor Compliance geformuleerd, maar zouden idealiter via deze BoF een gedragen sectoreis worden.
